IRF upgrade requires that packet loss be minimized, high reliability, short interruption time, smooth upgrade, and excessively smooth configuration.

|2. Check whether the space of the two devices is enough, if not, delete /unreserved the extra files; |
3. Use the TFTP\FTP to upload the software package to the device, and use the Copy command to copy a copy to the backup device.
|4.Delete the .mdb file.|
|5.Disconnect the uplink and downlink of SW-2, then disconnect the stacking line and the MAD line to split IRF into two devices. |
|Upgrade IRF standby device (SW-2):|
|6.Confirm that SW2 is in a normal state,boot-loader and restart without saving the configuration, and check the version after completion.|
|7. Disconnect SW-1 uplink and downlink , connect SW-2 uplink and downlink , check whether the service is normal;|
|Upgrade SW-1 according to the method of SW-2.|
Disconnect SW-2 uplink and downlink , connect SW-1 uplink and downlink , check whether the service is normal; |
|9. Reconnect the stacking link, SW-2 will restart soon, and connect the uplink and downlink of SW-2 at the same time; |
|After the IRF converges, check whether the service is normal.|
1.Remember to delete the .mdb file in the flash before upgrading.
