Few more question that when we reboot the main MPU dose it effect the live Traffic ?
1. Slave will become master and carry traffic without interruption ?
2. Will face Complete traffic outage until the rebooted MPU is back to Normal ?
First,
use the command display
system stable state to check the status of the standby MPU. If it is stable, the
master MPU can be rebooted.
# (In standalone mode.) Display system stability and status

Only configuration information is synchronized between the main MPU and the standby MPU. Routing information is only available on the main MPU, but not on the standby MPU (the exception is static routing, which belongs to configuration information). Under normal conditions, the main MPU completes the routing calculation and sends it to the SPU, which forwards the traffic according to the distributed information.
If the main MPU is down, the standby MPU is activated. At this time, there is no routing information on the standby MPU, so the calculation needs to be performed again. After the calculation, the routing information on the service board will be refreshed. During this calculation, the service board forwards according to the previous route cache. When the S7500 switch switches between active and standby, because the forwarding table entries of the interface board remain unchanged during the switching process, the service forwarding will not be affected or interrupted.
