To the same destination, different routing protocols (including static routing) may find different routes, but not all of them are the best. In fact, at one moment, the current route to a destination can only be determined by a unique routing protocol. Thus, respective routing protocols (including static routing) are assigned different priorities. When multiple routing information sources exist, the routing protocol with the highest priority will be responsible for finding the current route. The table below shows the routing protocols and default priorities of routes they find (the smaller the value is, the higher the priority will be).
