ARP entry aging time is defaulted to 20 minutes and can be modified with the arp timer aging command.
When ARP ages to half of the time specified by the system (defaulted to 10 minutes), it sends an ARP request to ensure whether the peer is online. If it receives an ARP response, it updates the ARP aging time, otherwise, it continues aging until 0 and sends the ARP request again. If it still receives no response, it is aged and deleted from the system. During running process, when 9500 receives the ARP request or gratuitous ARP packet, it will automatically updates the ARP aging time.
