2S1B Module of H3C Series Routers

I.         Module Introduction

2S1B (Only VRP 1.74 supports) is the short of 2-port synchronous/asynchronous serial port and 1-port ISDN BRI S/T interface module.

2S1B module is primarily used to receive/send and process 2-way synchronous/asynchronous serial data flow and 1-way ISDN BRI S/T interface data flow, in which ISDN BRI S/T comes with two operational modes: dial-in and leased line.

2S1B module has two DB-50 connectors used to connect external synchronous/asynchronous serial port and one RJ-45 connector used to connect ISDN BRI S/T interface.

III.   Interface Attribute

2S1B module has two different interfaces: synchronous/asynchronous serial port and ISDN BRI S/T. The corresponding interface attributes are shown as follows.

IV.    Module Interface Cable

2S1B module comes with two different interfaces: synchronous/asynchronous serial port and ISDN BRI S/T. The selected cable varies by different interfaces.

1.Synchronous/Asynchronous Serial Port Cable

You should confirm the line features before connecting synchronous/asynchronous port. There are four kinds of cables for selection:

l           V.35 DCE cable

l           V.35 DTE cable

l           V.24 DCE cable

l           V.24 DTE cable

2.ISDN S/T Interface Cable

A standard ISDN S/T interface cable is used to connect ISDN BRI S/T interface. Pin 3 and Pin 6 are transmitting side and Pin 4 and Pin 5 are receiving side. Both ends of cable are RJ-45 connector.
