Q: What to do if the privilege password of low-end routers is forgotten?

A: A privilege password is generally configured on the router for the consideration of security. Sometimes you fail to enter the privilege mode for forgetting the privilege password. In this case, you can use the following method to enter the low-end router (25XX series, 25XXE series, 16XX series and 4001/4001E):

Reboot the router;

Press Ctrl+B to enter the BootROM menu when seeing the prompt of Press Ctrl-B to enter Boot Menu;

Press Ctrl+P. Several # symbols and the BootROM menu are displayed;

Choose Reboot.

When the router is reboot, press Enter for several times to directly enter the system, skipping the input of privilege password. Then reset the privilege password.

Take the R1604 as an example:
