FCM Modules of H3C Series Routers

I.         Preface

Fast Connect Modem (FCM) interface is the fast handshaking modem interface specially designed fro Point of Sale Service (POS) dial-in service. Under synchronous/asynchrony mode, it can establish a link by dial-in in shorter time.

FCM interface is and only used to provide POS machines and POS-type machines with dial-in access function on Quidway router. FCM interface supports CCITT V.22 and CCITT V.29 fast handshaking protocols, and can complete the overall process of POS dial-in access in shorter time.

FCM interface features include:

?         Supports SDLC and HDLC protocols under synchronous mode , by default synchronous SDLC mode

?         Employs unique ringing detection method to enable reliable ringing detection and handoff in the shortest time

?         Compliant with standard protocols while interoperating with other mainstream POS manufacturers

?         Supports called calling in. when POS calls in to access, FCM interface responds immediately and finishes access.

II.      Introduction to Modules

2FCM/4FCM/6FCM is the short of 2/4/6-port fast connect modem interface modules, where FCM is the English abbreviation of Fast Connect Modem. FCM module is designed for POS to fast dial-in access the card account management system of bank.
