I            Requirement for the diagram

PC connect with MSR, config the ip address, config MSR as FTP Server, PC as FTP Client, Realizing file up-load and down-load.

Device List: 1 MSR; 1 PC

CMW Version: Version 5.20, Beta 1106

III        Steps of configuration

1) Connecting all the devices as showed in Figure 1, configuring the E0/0 with address 1.1.1.1/16, PC's address is 1.1.1.2/16;

2) Configuring the Router as below:

//Enable MSR FTP Server service，set the ip to 1.1.1.1/16 [Router]ftp server enable [Router]interface Ethernet 0/0 [Router-Ethernet0/0]ip address 1.1.1.1 16 //Creat new user: ftp，password is : ftpftp [Router]local-user ftp [Router-luser-ftp]password simple ftpftp //set user service type to ftp ，default working directory is cf:/ [Router-luser-ftp]service-type ftp ftp-directory cf:/ //PC：ftp to the server and download file C:\ >ftp 1.1.1.1 Connected to 1.1.1.1 220 FTP service ready. User (1.1.1.1:(none)): ftp 331 Password required for ftp Password:                  //here input ：ftpftp 230 User logged in. //Download operation，Source filename and Destination filename default use their original name ftp> get <Source filename>  <Destination filename>Password:                     230 User logged in      //After success download,check the result： Default the download fiel will saved at C:\

UP-Load File

IV       Key notes in the configuration

1)  Make sure both device are reachable;

2)  Make sure all the user name, password that input are all correct;
