Changing the InServ's IP Address

1.1) Login to the InServ's CLI shell (e.g., use the 3paradm ID).

1.2) Enter "shownet"to display the initial information.

1.3) Enter "setnet -h"to view the help text for the setnet command. (Optional)

1.4) Enter "setnet startaddroldIPnewIPnewNetmask"to change the IP address.

1.5) Enter "shownet"to display the interim state (the status of the new IP address should say "Unverified").

1.6) Access the InServ CLI shellvia the new IP address. This will verify that it can be reached at the new IP address.

1.7) Enter "shownet"to display thenew interim state (the status of the new IP address should have changed to "Verified")

1.8) Enter "setnet finish"to complete the change. If you want to force the IP address change without verifying it (which the previous step did), use "setnet finish -f".

1.9) Enter "shownet"to verify the final state.
